Lunkenheimer Valves
Lunkenheimer Valve Company Products from Authorized Parts
Lunkenheimer Valves Product Overview
Lunkenheimer Valves manufactures a complete range of valves, engineered specialties, and ASME boiler mountings, including a selection of valve types: Angle, Ball, Butterfly, Check, Gate, Globe, Needle, Non-Return Stop & Check, Safety Relief, Stop Check, and Whistle. Lunkenheimer Valves can also be identified with markings of Alvor, Breech Lock, Lunk, NMD, Regal, and Renewo. Once a valve type is selected for flow characteristics, a pressure class has to be specified based upon the maximum pressure and temperature of the service conditions. The pressure /temperature matrix is also critical when choosing the valve body as well as the internal trim material. The Lunkenheimer Master Catalog includes a corrosion resistance chart that compares a variety of body and trim materials for suitability with the service media of the application. To learn more about these and the options provided by Authorized Parts, complete our RFQ form.
Lunkenheimer Valves Pressure Class and Material Selection
Lunkenheimer Valves manufactures a full complement of valves in a range of pressure classes and end connections, including Pressure Class 125, 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500. These pressure classes are available in a variety of end connections that include threaded ends, solder ends, brazed ends, butt weld ends (specify bore schedule), flanged ends, RTJ flanged ends, union ends. When choosing an end connection, be cognizant of the appropriate standards associated with the dimensions and machining of the end connections. For example ASME, ANSI, UL /FM, AWWA, MSS, and NPT.
Lunkenheimer Valves offers a wide selection of body materials for a host of applications subject to different service conditions. Reference the Lunkenheimer Master Catalog as a reference source for the selection of materials. Body materials encompass a wide variety of alloys: cast bronze, ASTM B-62, cast iron ASTM A-126, ni-resist ASTM A-436 Type 2, cast carbon steel, ASTM A-216 WCB, grade WCC, grade C5, grade WC9, grade WC6, grade C12, grade LCB, grade LCC, ductile iron ASTM A-536; stainless steel ASTM A-351, grade CF8, grade CF8M, grade CF8C, grade CF3M, grade CF3, ASTM A105, ASTM FI82, stainless steel grade 304, 316, 316L, alloy 20 cn7m, monel, m35, and copper-nickel bronze, ASTM B-584.
Internal Trim material selections include silicon bronze, ASTM B-371, 500 Brinell hardness 13% chromium stainless steel, ASTM A-276 type 420, chromium stainless steel ASTM A-276, type 410 trim, ASTM FI82, stainless steel grade 304, 316, 316L, alloy 20 cn7m, and monel, m35.
Valve trim materials are not limited to non-ferrous materials. Replaceable seat and disc materials are made in are Buna-N, Butyl, EPDM, Teflon, Natural Rubber, Neoprene, Hypalon, Viton, EPDM, or EPT.
Once Valve Type, Pressure Class, Body Material, End Connections, and Trim Materials have been specified, submit an RFQ to Authorized Parts for a valve recommendation, of select a Figure Number from The Lunkenheimer Master Catalog at:

Plug Valves
Lunkenheimer Valve Company manufactures quarter-turn iron lubricated plug valves known as plug cocks made from iron ASTM A126 and semi-steel ductile iron ASTM A395, B62 bronze, or exotic alloy. . They are manufactured as threaded NPT to meet API-6D and ASME B16.34 requirements from 1/2″ to 6”. Designs feature both regular and venturi patterns, Wrench, and Gear operation. Bronze and Iron Multiport Plug Valves, originally manufactured by Cincinnati Brass Works, are offered for simplification of piping and convenience of operation in several designs with a multitude of arrangements. 3-way or 4-way multiport valves can replace two, three, or four straightway valves. Specify the port arrangement to accommodate your requirements. Lunkenheimer Valve Company manufactures application-specific designs for high-pressure or high-temperature services. Steel plug valves are made in many grades of carbon steel and alloy steel. Cast carbon steel, ASTM A-216 WCB, grade WCC, ASTM A217 grade WC9, grade WC6, ductile iron ASTM A-536; stainless steel ASTM A-351, grade CF8, grade CF8M, grade CF8C, grade CF3M, ASTM A105, ASTM FI82 stainless steel grade 316, alloy 20 cn7m, and monel m35.
Industrial Valves
Plug valves are industrial valves manufactured by Lunkenheimer Valve Company as slurry valves. In addition to gate valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, globe valves, check valves, relief valves, Breech Lock valves and angle valves, Lunkenheimer Valve Company officially sold the Alumina Slurry Valves from Condec to Emerson, a globally trusted manufacturer serving multiple industries. The product portfolio added an advanced slurry valve for applications where a heavy scale can prevent isolation, disrupt production or pose a safety risk, Lunkenheimer Valve Company exceeds industry standards to provide solutions to mining applications in alumina, nickel, and gold processes. The company products are manufactured for severe applications such as isolation on the heavy scale, tank blanking in viscous media, and isolation on the bottom of tanks or pipes for all your needs where scale is present in the building pipeline. The benefit of utilizing a grinding action ensures positive center seating and shutoff. Alumina Slurry Valves have the benefit of handling heavy production of slurries, including saturated and viscous media which cause severe scaling in the pipeline. Customers in the mining business, oil, and gas, iron ore business, or similar extractions, have a long history of satisfaction specifying this line of plug valves.
